ABOUT OUR HOST
Letitia Weikel-Peterson is the founder of Oregon Horsemanship and Melody's Haven of Hope, an Oregon licensed horse rescue and sanctuary where rescued horses help create meaningful experiences for youth, women, and families. Her passion is helping both horses and humans heal by building confidence, connection, life skills, and community through relationship-based horsemanship and equine-assisted learning.
Oregon Horsemanship is an educational horsemanship program focused on developing confident, knowledgeable horsemen through relationship-first training, while Melody's Haven of Hope provides lifelong sanctuary for horses that have been neglected, abused, abandoned, or can no longer perform the jobs they once had.
During this Women's Collective event, Letitia will share how horses naturally teach us about authenticity, boundaries, emotional awareness, leadership, trust, and living in the present moment. Guests will experience a peaceful evening of connection with both the herd and one another while learning why horses have become such powerful partners in personal growth, healing, and building community.
Attendees can expect to:
Discover why horses naturally help us become more present, authentic, and emotionally aware.
Learn how interacting with horses can build confidence, reduce stress, and strengthen communication and relationships.
Experience the peaceful and grounding presence of a rescue horse while connecting with other women in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Gain practical insights into how the lessons horses teach about trust, boundaries, and leadership can be applied to everyday life, family, and work.
This evening is designed to be less of a formal presentation and more of an opportunity to slow down, connect, and experience the unique wisdom that horses have to offer.
