Resilience: Stories of Strength, Culture & Creation

Join us for an unforgettable evening where fashion, fine art, and cultural storytelling come together in a celebration of resilience, creativity, and heritage.

Presented by Matue Couture in partnership with International Leadership Academy (ILA), this special event invites guests to experience original artwork, handcrafted fashion, and meaningful stories inspired by journeys across Africa and beyond. As part of this collaboration, 20% of event proceeds will support International Leadership Academy and its mission to provide an exceptional bilingual education.

The evening will feature:

A curated exhibition of original mixed-media artwork from the Resilience collection

A runway presentation showcasing handcrafted designs inspired by the textile traditions of Ghana and Burkina Faso

A cultural dance performance

A marketplace featuring artisan-made fashion, accessories, and artwork

Opportunities to meet the artist and designer behind the collections

African-inspired hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and refreshments

One complimentary glass of wine with each admission (21+)

Childcare available as an optional add-on for families

Through color, texture, movement, and storytelling, Resilience explores the strength found in identity, community, and the human spirit.

Whether you are an art enthusiast, fashion lover, supporter of cultural initiatives, or simply curious to experience something unique, we invite you to be part of this inspiring evening—one that celebrates creativity while giving back to the local community.
