You’re invited by The Women’s Collective member Simone Talla
Step into a world where fabric tells stories and culture comes to life. Hosted by Matue Couture, this immersive workshop explores the rich heritage of Kente cloth, its origins, symbolism, and lasting influence. Through storytelling and guided insight, you’ll discover how patterns and colors communicate identity, wisdom, and community across generations.
You’ll then take part in a hands-on creative session, designing your own symbolic piece inspired by what you’ve learned. Open to anyone with a love for culture, fashion, or creativity, this intimate experience (limited to 30 participants) offers a meaningful space to learn, create, and connect. Join us on Saturday, May 23 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and leave with not just something you made, but a new way of seeing.
